Ease of Use

It does not require a lot of assembly, other than snapping the side brushes into place. It's easier to assemble as opposed to other models that require more parts and work. It is a bit on the heavy side however, with nearly 18 pounds.

Smart Navigation

The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 provides a variety of automated features. It also comes with an app that allows you to view the status of your mop and vacuum, receive push notification, pause or resume cleaning or control it with voice commands if you are using Amazon Alexa or Google Home. You can also set up the robot to return it to its dock, change its power mode, or direct it to a room.

When you first start it the app will prompt you to send the robot on a preliminarily run, where it will map your space and draw a floor plan. You can label rooms as No-Go Zones or High-Traffic Areas, as well as set virtual boundaries that the robot cannot traverse. The only issue is its navigation system has some issues, particularly when it comes to navigating over obstacles such as furniture. This means that it could leave a few dirty spots left behind. The battery life was satisfactory in our tests, lasting up to 90 minutes. The app lets you schedule it to clean a room or at a certain time.
